No response from 'albums' tab in music app

I just realised today that nothing happens when I tap the album icons in the 'album' tab. If I go into 'playlists' or 'songs' or 'artists' and tap I get lists from which I can select a track or playlist etc. I expected that when I tapped an album I would get the songlist for it and then be able to play it. But nothing. It happens (or doesn't!) whether its an album I've downloaded to the ipad from itunes or an album synched from itunes via the pc. I tried a re- synch with itunes but still no joy. I'm not sure how long this has been a problem as I normally skip straight to playlists. Any ideas anyone?

A restart seems to have fixed the problem!
