Noteability question...

There are some navigation tools in the lower left when you first open your document. See this:

The icon I point to shows up when you first open a document. You can either press the arrows to individually move page by page or you can press the double paper icon to open a scrolling bar to quickly move to your page. The thumbnails move up and down so you can go right to your page.

Hope this helps. Holler back if you need more clarification or if it doesn't work for you.

Thanks Marilyn for taking the time to respond to my question. I do know what you are talking bout and have used it but I want to go to one specific page... like in a document 200+ pages... any options that can do that? Using long documents is a pain when you need to go back and forth all over the place.

Why yes, yes there is! I just discovered it thanks to your further question. So, take a look at this picture:

I tried it out and the app quickly transfers to whatever page you've typed (after pressing return). This was news to me. So, thanks for your question/post - I did not know the app could do it. Kewl. :)

Thanks... I can see why you are a SUPER Moderator! Leave it to me to always expect more than the obvious. But this is such a good program, that I can't believe you couldn' t do it... I just didn't know how or where to find the answer. Where did you find the answer?

While we are at it... on the screen shot you sent...at the top it talks about open-in.... like getting docs from emails, etc. and adding them in to a doc.... I have been able to do it while in the email program but not in the noteability program.. to insert in a doc.. I don't see where the open-in feature is while in noteablity.

Too bad noteability can not do doc documents. Hope they get that built in soon. Are upgrades free?

Thanks for sharing your expertise. F

...[snip]...Where did you find the answer?

While we are at it... on the screen shot you sent...at the top it talks about open-in.... like getting docs from emails, etc. and adding them in to a doc.... I found the answer because, like you, I figured such a robust app had to have a way to do what you wanted. So, I pressed places until I found the page "trick."

Your follow-up question was harder (and i'm sure it's mentioned in the tutorial somewhere). There are a lot of steps to do an "Open In..." from within the Notability app. But, it's do-able. See this series of images (they include steps):

That should do it. Hope it helps - although it is rather convoluted. :)

EDITED TO ADD: And that stuff about jail breaking in my signature line is because my iPad (and my iPhone!) are jail broken. Although you don't need to be jail broken to do the above steps - I like the freedom and access I have to all my iPad's system files and such. Of course and as always, YMMV. However, if you're interested, have a browse over in our Hacking sub-section of this forum. There's a lot of research and knowledge there. This is a 4 1/2 year old thread about the notability app. Things have changed since the days of iOS 6. Does your question have anything to do with the notability app? It might be better if you asked your question in a separate thread instead of tacking it to such an old thread. It would likely get more attention.
