Notepad

Ya I'm a newbie and I deleted Notepad by mistake. A couple of helpsites said all I have to do is go to the APP store and download it again and all will be well. I did that ...but the Notepad looks different, has a different icon and doesn't have any of my previous notes available.

Is there anyway to get my notes back? They've gotta be on this machine somewhere right?

Normally deleting an app also deletes all data stored in the app.
Do you mean the stock Notes app? If not, which developer offers the app in the App Store?

Did you manage to find it in the App Store? If your notes were synced to other devices through iCloud they may be still on those other devices.
