For school I had to write a paper where your a news reporter from 2100 and you had to write about past events from the point of view of someone in the future. In mine I made myself have an online website and I like post reports on it and stuff. Do you guys want to read it?
I imagine most of my readers out there know about the modern day iPads, iPhones and iPod's but do you know about the original ones? That's right my report today is about how much modern technology has grown and evolved from what is was then to what it is now. Did you know that the iPads and iPhones weren't even made by MMINC (Michael Meyer incorporation) ! They were made by a company called Apple, founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Apple was later bought by MMINC in 2032.
On October 23, 2001 apple announced their first iPod and started selling it on November 10th. The original iPod was announced by Jobs as a "Mac-compatible product that put 1,000 songs in your pocket". By 2012 they had four variants of the iPod. The iPod shuffle, iPod nano, iPod classic and iPod touch. The iPod shuffle was a "ultraportable" version of the iPod released in 2005 sold in a 2 GB model. The iPod nano portable version with a FM radio, a pedometer, and a multi-touch interface. The iPod classic was remake of the original iPod available in a 160 GB model. The iPod touch was the original of the iPods we are used to now released in 2007.
The first iPhone was released in January 2007, it was a conversion of a smartphone and a iPod. The original iPhone combined a 2.5G quad band GSM and EDGE cellular phone. On June 9, 2008 apple announced the iPhone 3G and then in 2009 they announced the iPhone 3GS, both of which supported 3G rather than just WiFi like the original. The iPhone 4 was announced on June 7, 2010 which was "the biggest leap since the original iPhone" as stated by apple. On october 4, 2011 the announced the iPhone 4S and with it Siri, a digital personal voice assistant.
On January 27, 2010 apple introduced their much anticipated media-tablet, the iPad. It offered multi-touch and pretty much most things you would need then. It had newspapers, magazines, ebooks, textbooks, photos, movies, TV shows, videos, music, word processing documents, spreadsheets, video games, and any iPhone apps plus thousands of iPad specialized apps. It also had safari, access to the app store and iTunes, iBooks, contacts and notepad. The iPad 2 was announced on march 2, 2011 and the iPad 3 was released on march 7, 2012.
I know many of you may be thinking "wow, technology was that bad!" but in it's day these products were state of the ark. Thanks for reading and if this is your first time reading one of my reports feel free to browse my past posts. I write new report every week so come back often to see all my new stories and what I'm working on!
