Hello all iGeeks out there,

Just bought a new iPad to replace my iPad1 to go with my iMac and iPhone!!!!! Just discovered this forum through playing modern war, so thought it would probably enhance my i-experience even more.

My ipad 1 has a problem with charging and will not sync to my iMac through the cable. I bought the tools to take it apart and change the docking port cable, then watched the youtube video of how to do it and thought ahhh, there is a real danger of breaking the glass. I have read on some forums that just removing the 2 locating screws has solved this problem, others have replaced the part. Any advice or does anyone offer this service at a good price in the UK??????
