Onscreen Keyboard issue

Hi,

I have a iPAD and when I connect a bluetooth device to my iPAD and open for example a calender item, my onscreen keyboard is disappearing and I can only use my bluetooth device. This because my bluetooth device is recognized as a keyboard wedge device. Is there a way the onscreen keyboard always stays active or on top of the screen? If not are there app which can perform this action?
