The Opera Mini is one of the best browsers for mobile devices, being used by millions of iPhone and iPad users across the world. And now it has just received another important update for iOS users.
The latest version is focused on improving the app’s extensibility in iOS 8. The new Opera Mini now comes with support for an extension for opening links inside the browser from other apps, even including Safari and other browsers. This will prove to be really useful n those situation when you want to save on mobile browsing data using Opera Mini’s data compression modes.
A new full-on Opera Mini mode has been added, as well, which compresses data to as little as 10 percent of the original data size. And with the new Opera Turbo mode, the browser performs some compression while maintaining website compatibility and features the video optimization technology introduced in Opera Mini 9.0 last month.
The newest version 9.1, also brings various user interface fixes and performance improvements. Opera Mini 9.1 is available now on the App Store for free, being compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.
