osi 5 coming for Ipad hotspot rumour

With the coming of osi 5 Ipad 2 is going to look even better but has anyone heard the rumours that apple is going to block the use of hotspotsto to ipad using iphone4
I have found that on occasions using my unlimited data on my 3 one plan has been excellent, and would be greatly miffed if they did. I'm not a great user outside wi-fi normally, so the thought of having to purchase data, that I probably won't use up doesn't sit well.
I'm hoping it's only a rumour, but would be greatly reassured, as I know there are a lot of you guys out there with your fingers on apples pulse!

Stupidest rumor I've heard all week. I'm not even going to try and list all the reasons this would make no sense.

Don't worry about it. Sounds like link bait dreamed up by some desperate blogger.

Thanx

Thanx for the reassurance guys, I know it makes no sence, but having got to know how to use it with my ipad2 and it's legal and costs me no more!!wouldn't have been surprised, but thanks anyway.

Oh, you are talking about the jailbreak hotspot/tether solution. No guarantee then. The carriers would love to have that blocked, and Apple could very well do so. It would probably require an iOS update though, and thats already something jailbreakers know better than to install without checking first.

More and more, carriers are detecting and warning people who are using unpaid for tethering. If they have their way it will be a thing of the past. The legality of it is far from assured, since you sign a contract with your carriers, and they most definitely are not authorizing you to use the iPhone as a hotspot without paying.

This is completely separate from the legality of jailbreaking your iPhone. Just because it is legal to jailbreak the phone (outlawish as it sounds) does not mean everything you can then do with the phone is legal.
