What just happened?

I have two iPads and after I have used the old one it had the old update so i updated it and checked on paradise island and collected rents, then I went back to my new iPad. When I signed into the game, which I had just played earlier today, it said I had time cheated and deleted all of my 170 friends that I have been working hard to get. I didn't even time cheat! What happened? Everything else is still there but now I have 0 friends!!

Any clues, or has anyone else had this happen?
