Password protect "Settings"

Stoker

iPF Noob
Hello,

I would like to be able to password protect the "Settings" function so my kids cant change anything when using it.
Have been googling this but found nothing.

Hope someone can help.

Unfortunately, no, there is no way you can password-protect the Settings app in a stock iPad. Sorry, but Apple designed these devices to be for one user - nevermind that many people do share it with others. Maybe someday Apple will figure out a way to better secure it.

Sorry.

Unfortunately, I think a "better way to secure it" is far down the list of development priorities at Apple since the main effect is to encourage the purchase of more iPads.
