Photo uload from pc on microsoft vista

When I first synced ipad2 to pc (lap top) last week it almost immediately started to download all my photos. I thought great. However there were almost 11000photos and I then discover that whilst the main folders were copied in they were not subdivided by sub folders. Then I discover that I can't delete or move uploaded photos between folders or into new albums. Yesterday whilst uploading some additions from pc, I don't know how but all photos were deleted from ipad. Again I thought great I can start again but change the folder system first on the pc. Then I tried to upload one folder at a time but it the merged photos from wrong albums and on further uploading, it deletes the previous upload!

Now going off my chump any ideas???????

That sounds scary. I am a new iPad owner and am just about to try first sync. A friend is coming to help. If we can sort out any probs with photos I will let you know
