No, the card reader doesn't work with the ipad2. At least mine didn't. It require a higher voltage than the iPad supplies.

I note there are both SD and CF card connectors available for the IPad2. Does anyone have any experience with these. I'm thinking of using them and a wirelessly hard drive to transfer pictures from my camera cards to he drive with the Ipad2 as the intermediary. Any advice or ideas, welcome.

Im sure the SD/CF card connections will work fine if they are intended for iPad use. Ive been using DropBox and my laptop to sync up photos and stuff. Works good. Ive never tried any of the card reader accesories.

I move photos from my CF cards to my iPad... I have the Apple camera connection kit... Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit - Apple Store (U.S.) .. The kit has a USB to iPad connector adapter.. I also have a cheap USB CF card reader... Travel Compact Flash Reader/Writer .. I plug the USB card reader into the USB to iPad adapter and I'm ready to go.

I also have the Apple camera connector kit. It works great. I bring it on vacation with me along with my SLR. I then can upload pictures instantly - And then decide what to do with the pictures whether to save them. You'll love it.

I think it's like 30 bucks. And Walmart carries it in the iPod/iPad section as well as best buy in the apple 'department'.

Thanks to all for the prompt advice. Much appreciate. But has anyone used a wireless drive with the IPad to do this? I'm concerned aboutbreliabilitnof transfer

Oooops, that should have read "reliability of transfer" before I tripped over my fingers and accidentally sent an incomplete message. I'm looking at the Goflex 500gb portable wireless hard drive.

Cheers,

Rob
