Plantronics Bluetooth - Android/iPad2

Have a Plantronics Marque Bluetooth headset, which is great. When I pair it with my Android phone (please don't think me a traitor), it works great. If I pair it with my iPad2, it works great. It's SUPPOSED to pair with both simultaneously, but should I try that combination, the only device that works is the one that paired first.

Any suggestions?
