Please help me setup Gmail on new ipad 3. 5.1.1

Hi all,

I have new ipad use firmware 5.1.1.

when I try setup gmail on my ipad but it isn't connected with server, althoug I uses many steps.

Step 1: I go to settings->Mail, contacts, Calendars->Add account...->choose Gmail.

Nane: heartdragon
Email: gdotcom (i cannot type mail because I a newbie)
Pass: my pass
Description: Gmail

There is error appears.

Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is uncorrect.

@Note: I also enable imap on my gmail setting and I sure types right username and password.

Step 2: I go to settings->Mail, contacts, Calendars->Add account...->choose Micrisoft Exchange

Email: gdotcom
server: imap.gmail.com
Domain: it's blank
User name: heartdragon
Password: My pass
Description: Gmail

There is error appears

Please help me step by step.

When setting up as an exchange server (your step 2), the server is m.google.com not imap.gmail.com

OK understand and just have been made aware that the contacts do not sync with the standard "add Gmail account" function in mail....
Will the notes continue to be synced when installing as exchange server? My work email (Outlook on Exchange Server) does not (set up as exchange server)...

I had follow step of you and my acc has been setup on ipad but when I go to mail function, there is error appears with info:
(It allways appear while loading mail, so I cannot access my gmail.)

Password Incorrect
Enter the password for the Exchange account "Gmail"

I'm sure 100% I type right my password.


@Note: Before setup mail on ipad, my acc has been protected by phone. Do you think I cannot setup mail because it has protected by phone (authentication).

I had known why I cannot setup my Gmail, because I has not create authentication 2 for app.
This problem has been resolved.
