While I like, aesthetically, most of the Lock/Home screens posted here, this is closer to something I would choose to use myself (closer instead of actually use, only because I've never been a Marine).

Something good looking and meaningful (to me) for the Lock Screen, that doesn't interfere with the time and date display, and something very simple for the Home Screen, so that the icons are distinct from the background and easy to tell apart.
