Problem after iOS 7 download

Can anyone help me retrieve my Notes which seem to have been wiped since downloading iOS7. I'm not very savvy with this technology so simple terms would be great. Thanks

If the notes were wiped, you can't retrieve them. However, if they were synced over to an email account or iCloud, you should be able to get them back by adding that account to your Mail,Calendar and Contacts in Settings.app, turn on syncing for Notes, and they'll be there.
