Problem with Words With Friends HD updating

My husband put the new version of WWWF on the iPad and now the game won't automatically update when someone plays their turn. It will update sometimes if I shut the iPad down and turn it back on. The only reason I know the games have updated is because I can see they have on my iPhone. Any ideas on what to do? It is getting annoying especially that I am addicted to the game and don't like the small screen on the iPhone. Thanks
 
I'm disappointed you haven't had an answer to your problem. I started to experience the same issue yesterday. It's been working fine for months until now. My wife is playing with someone else who has just started to experience the same problem.
 
Hi I am having the same problems and at the moment am unable to update at all. I have removed app, rebooted and reinstalled app but hav not been able to use it at all for more than 8 hours. I hav sent an email to the store but have not received a response as yet.
 
The same thing happened on my ipad 2 yesterday. Up til then it worked fine on both Ipad and Iphone but now it will only update on Iphone. It says it is updating then turns off. I tried rebooting, redownloading- nothing. Up til yesterday it worked fine. Did the app update- Is there a bug for it on the Ipad? My daughter's is working but she only has the ipad- not an iphone. I wonder if it has something to do with the using it on multiple devices. Any suggestions?

Just the opposite for me, my iPad works fine but my daughters iPhone starts to launch the app and then crashes. We bought the paid version thinking this may help the iPhone but no luck with that strategy.

Searched the developers page and it does indicate they're having problems. We submitted a claim, since we purchased then app, and we're waiting for a response.

There are some trouble shooting steps available but tried them all and nothing worked.

Same problems here on both iphone4 and ipad2. Neither works. Tries to update then crashes and kicks me back to home page. I also have sent for help to the game maker and trying to follow those directions is crazy!!! Any help would be appreciated
 
Haven't had any issues lately, but about 6 weeks ago I had the same issues lasting several hours. I think the servers were extremely busy.

I'm having the same problem. If the servers are busy though, wouldn't both devices have the delay? Hopefully this is resolved quickly. As of now, I see the notification on my iPhone and then turn my iPad off then back on for it to update so that I can PLAY. I don't like having to play on my iPhone either!!!!
 
You are right...at the time I was having issues, both devices were non-operational with WWF.

Hopefully, after the weekend is over, the developer will address the issues.

I have the same problem. The app simply has stopped updating. The banners still work and I still get updates on my iphone so the problem has to be with the ipad app.

Hello, I have the same issue with my ipad2. I purchased the paid version thinking it would not have this problem, to no avail. The problem surfaced during the last week of Dec '11.

I have worked around the issue by resetting my network settings, and logging back in. It has worked every time. Btw, I have a wifi ipad2.
