I'm really hurt that you'd call the folks in the central part of our country "hicks". Even tho they aren't as sophisticated and wear black like the East coasters, nor do they surf and eat sushi as do the West coasters, they do manage to grow our food and do what little manufacturing is left in the US. I think that if you visited Ohio or
Iowa or Kentucky, you'd find some of the finest, friendliest, most honest people you've ever met, even if they do drive pickup trucks and live in mobile homes.
Hicks wouldn't get upset over the matter..
besides, rednecks would be a much more "hurt" term. But regardless, I know. I live out in the sticks, drive a muddy ol 4x4 rockin out on the tailgate to some good ol country music.
I think, well I have visted some of the deep down areas where an iPhone is a iWhat?? Lived in Mars, PA and the Amish are some true down folk. Clarksville, TN. Nice country down there once you get away from the base and head out into country land.
Kansas.. great times. Them farms have some real friendly folk and probably the best food this side of the river.
I've travled much, and antique shopping is a hobby. And some of the best antiques are found, off the business road.
