My wife's Ipad has suddenly started to get a popup window from Moderator edit telling her it is her last chance to claim a prize and there seems to be no way to get rid of it - and as a result she is unable to use her iPad. Any ideas what this is and more importantly how to get rid of it and stop it coming back?

Apart from clearing the cache, my way is to power off the iPad, then power up again. Launch Safari and hit a bookmark as quickly as possible so as to stop reverting to the same offending page.

There is talk of add blocking coming to Safari.

I hope this helps.

In addition to the above helpful advice, if that has not helped go to:
Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data.
Incidentally, I have edited out that offending website link as our rules do not allow external advertising links.
Let's know how you got on. If no go, other solutions are sure to be available. This has happened at times before.

Many thanks. I will try what you sya. I am sorry about entering the link - It was not intended as advertising, more to show the name of the website that was causing the problem. Understand your actions and will make sure I avoid doing this again in future.

Just FYI...Clearing the Cache fixed the problem. Many thanks.
