Question about HDMI

Hi,

I am wondering if on the Ipad 2 or using iphone 4s i could plug a HDMI cable from my device into my TV, then somehow transmit the picture to another computer or Ipad not in the same building??

Basically it is to watch horse racing pictures to or from a friend at another racecourse.
