Reading, editing and saving Microsoft XLS Spreadsheets, word docs etc

Hey guys I know Microsoft is a no no on this site but I am new to apple products and need to read, edit, save etc Microsoft office spread sheets and word documents etc can anyone point me in the right direction of apps or software I have to purchase for my iPad 2. Thanks

I really like Quickoffice HD Pro for the iPad. Well worth the money and great file sharing built in with the likes of Dropbox and Evernote plus wifi transfer. Does all the typical Office file formats for Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.

I also have quick office hd. But I don't have the option of viewing documents spread sheets side by side. Is there any way I can do this?
