Recommended storage

Trying to decide between 32GB or 64GB iPad 3 - intended usage is for reference books, limited music, personal finance, standard applications (Word, Excel) and some photos. The major part would be reference materal for a variety of health subjects. Thanks for any recommedations!

Definitely 64. If you find yourself with spare capacity, there's no harm done. If you find yourself running out of room, you're stuck. Big is best, in this case.

Go for 64 Gigs for sure. Just nice to have that peace of mind and not have to keep checking "how's my remaining storage?" after a reasonable use of the iPad.

For diversity sake... I think with the use profile that you are describing, 32 would be okay. I would not say this if you said you want to store a lot of video or had a huge music library. With tools like Dropbox, GDrive, etc., you can keep second tier reference information in the cloud. I am using about 12.5GB of my 32 New iPad, and if push came to shove I could quickly free up about 3GB (I have not felt a need to). One thing guaranteed, you will really like whichever one you get.
