Reminders not making any sound

Having set a reminder and set the date/time, nothing happens at the appointed time - no visual alert and no sound alert.

Any suggestions please?

Check Settings > Notifications to see what kind of notifications you have set up for the Reminders app.

Restarting the iPad is probably a good idea too.
