remote access

I want to use remote access (RDC) to a few PCs from my iPad (1)

I see logmein offer such a service (it's free on my PC, but a huge £17 for the Add In)

Is there any good, cheaper, solution to access windows desktops from my iPad?

Try Teamviewer. I've got it installed on my desktop, laptop, iPhone 3GS and iPad 2. It's free as well.

Splashtop is not free, but it's cheap and most people are liking it a lot.

I use Slashtop and love it. Now that I have it working through my firewall, which is not difficult to do, I can access my Mac from any where. The performance is pretty good. I can recommend this app and associated program for your computer. Just remember to leave your computer running if you wish to access it from afar.

Works with google to automatically find your computer's ip. Works around the world unlike splashtop.

Paid but offers great performance across LAN - Splashtop.
