Removing photos after sync

When I bought my iPad I sync'ed it with my old laptop. All the photos 6,000 + in folders and organised, on the laptop transferred to the iPad but in one long file. How can I delete the rubbish ones from the iPad?

Hi, welcome to iPF!

Photos synced to the iPad with your computer can't be deleted on your iDevice. You'll have to delete the ones you don't need on your laptop, then connect your iPad to it (again), and sync it once more.
