Replaced digitizer on my iPad 3 and now the lcd screen is white Please Help

I replaced the digitizer on my iPad 3 and now the lcd screen is white. When I connect it to the computer iTunes recognizes it and i also did a recovery on it but the screen is still white nothing shows up on the screen. I tried doing a reset by holding the power button and the home button down but it doesn't do anything either the screen just stays white. I was very careful when I replaced the digitizer and I know I didn't physically damage anything but could my lcd screen be damaged in any other way? I would appreciated any help anyone can offer.
