Reset Home Screen Layout

Can somebody please let me know if this empties folders or sort them by name?

Curious what that does myself, but not willing to mess up my current setup just to find out.

I assume that it means, go to the iPAD Home screen (That is the one that pops up on every application you download for the 1st time) , and put back all the original Icons, that came with in the 1st day you opened your iPAD.
This is Apples factory default home page coded into the program.

No I mean if I reset home screen which basically resorts everything alphabetically will it destroy all the folders I've created!!
