Reset-restart

I have been getting an "Apple ID password" request every time I turn on my Ipad. I have searched and someone suggested to do a "reset-restart" and the problem will go away. I would like to try this, but am concerned that I may lose info which is already on my Ipad. (Bookmarks, email, etc). And how do I perform a "reset"?

Reset usually is: press and hold Home and Power button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
With this kind of reset, you won't lose any information on your iPad.

The request for your password could also occur because of a download that's not been finished. In case resetting doesn't help, look for apps that have to be updated/downloaded.

Open the AppStore app and tap on the updates tab. All apps needing updating will appear there. If you look in your AppStore purchased list, the apps not yet downloaded to your iPad will be shown with the cloud symbol next to them. Tapping on the cloud will download the app.
