I have an iPhone 6 (Wi-Fi + LTE), an iPod Touch 5th gen and an iPad Air 2 (Wi-Fi + LTE). My iPhone and iPod batteries average 36+ hours, but my iPad Air 2 can't seem to last a full day despite doing the same amount of work that I usually do on the iPhone 6. Yes, I know the screen is larger, but the battery is also larger so I assumed the battery life would escalate to the same proportions as that of the iPhones. Settings on all of my iOS devices are almost identical, so I don't quite understand what is happening.

Can someone help me understand what is going on here?

If you have background app refresh off, and if you have facebook, try turning it off. If you don't have background app refresh on delete facebook.
I don't use the Facebook or Twitter apps on iPad Air. Actually I don't use any app on the iPad Air when I can get to the same content in Safari.

I keep background app refresh off for everything except core services and I don't allow location services. Backlight is set at half and I use Wi-Fi in my room so I'm never more than 20 feet from the router. I do these things on all of my iOS devices.

It could simply be that battery life doesn't scale as I thought it would. Still, I'm quite happy with the iPad Air 2 :)

Yes, I tried that as well.

Being that these batteries improve over time, I'm wondering if my issue is due to this being a brand new iPad Air 2. I've had my iPhone 6 since January.
I've had my Air a while now so I'm not sure.
Remember you have 90 days complimentary phone support with Apple so it might be worth running it by them.

Well, phone support is out of the question. I have a feeling Apple will ask for my Apple ID credentials and the only person I trust to help me with that type of phone call is on vacation. My 90 days of support will have lapsed by the time she returns. Being hearing impaired prevents me from making phone calls on my own.

What is everyone else experiencing as far as battery life on the iPad Air 2?

You can get support by Chat or Email if that helps, Failing that could you take it to an Apple store?

I didn't know we could do chat and email for the support. Heh this turned out to be an educational thread for me :)

Do have AppleCare+? With AppleCare+, the free telephone technical support is extended to two years.
Wowsers, two years?! Perhaps I need to be buying AppleCare more often.
