MacRumors updates us today with fresh rumours about the forthcoming iPad 2. Japanese blog Mac Octakara is claiming to have the scoop that the new iPad will have a smaller bezel, a flat back, like that of an iPod touch so that it can lie flat on a desk or table, and a new “wide-ranged speaker unitâ€, according to an anonymous Chinese source. Apparently the LCD screen will remain the same size, supporting Steve Jobs’ assertion that Apple will not be releasing a 7-inch iPad, although the new iPad will have slightly different dimensions than the current one, according to the report, measuring 239 mm by 186 mm, instead of the current 242.8 mm by 189.7 mm. The mention of a bigger, “wide-ranged speaker†unit covered with metal mesh could possibly explain the bigger space at the bottom of what were purported to be iPad 2 covers out of China that were popping up all over the web in pictures the other week, and in the video at the top of this post. All more grist to the rumour mill!

So it's 3.8mm shorter and 3.7mm skinnier. That's really not much of a difference at all. Barely noticeable, but just a big enough difference to where it won't fit in the current cases.

But this is still a rumor, and not the offical info.
Well, smaller and flatter are expected, but the on-board speakers is really unsuspecting(think many are not expected it, right?). What Im looking forward to the iPad 2, is thinner, lighter, and with the camera, of course Facetime video chat support, hmm, a front-facing and a rear-facing camera capable of shooting video and high-definition photos are Great! have the camera will be cooler and more appeal I believe~
Still no flash support, I know Jobs have said that there are impossible have flash support on iPad, as he hate Adobe flash. Seems yet have to use some tools like iFunia video converter to convert the flash videos and movies. Then the HTML5 might do some change? Wait and look forward...
