Saving doc file as txt file on ipad 2

Is there a way to save a doc file that is in Dropbox as a txt file?
Cloudon does not seem to provide this facility.

I don't have CloudOn (or MS Word for that matter), so my suggestion probably isn't going to help, but I'll yap on anyway.

You probably need to start editing the file in Word. Once it is loaded look for a Save As or Export option (or similar) in the Files menu. Once you select that there will be (hopefully) a method of choosing the export/save file format.
