Evernote is a company better known for its note-taking app with the same name, but the company has evolved further one by releasing new tools and services for its users. The latest tool from the company is called Scannable, a brand new mobile app that allows iOS users to scan contracts, receipts, business cards, and any paper that comes their way.
iPhone and iPad users can save or share documents instantly and perform such features as:
- Turn business cards into contacts: Pull information from business cards and LinkedIn, add profile photos, and save it all to your contacts list.
- Banish paper stacks: Scannable works seamlessly with the ScanSnap Evernote Edition scanner to get multi-page documents where they need to go.
- A scanner for everyone: With Scannable, your whole team can control a ScanSnap Evernote Edition from their own devices and send paper on its way.
Given how much the modern workflow relies on mobile devices, mobile scanning needs to be better. Mobile document scanning doesn’t happen in a vacuum — one way or another it’s part of a larger process in your life that a scanning app should speed up, not slow down. Done well, a great scanning app should emphasize action, not archiving. It should be about the words on the paper, not the paper itself.
That’s why we’re happy to introduce Scannable. Available for iPhone and iPad, Scannable is designed to scan and share fast because those receipts and documents don’t belong in your camera roll.
The scanning is automatic and after opening the app, users just simply need to point the camera at the document, and it is captured into the app. After that, each image can be reviewed in the bottom capture tray.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini can be downloaded now on the App Store for free by following the link from below. You’ll just need to have iOS 8 or later installed on your device for it to work.
