Screen not Very Responsive

I've had my Mini with Retina Diplay for a week.

Sometimes the screen is not very resposive. Other times it is fine.

I have had to tap an icon several times and harder to make it open.

Today, I could not Slide to unlock. I thought it might be my finger, but I tried a stylus and the same result. I powered it off completely, then on and it worked fine.

At the moment, it's OK. I'll keep an eye on it and try what it said to do.

I am concerned that it is a hardware problem

By the way, if is not a hardware problem, do you have any idea what causes the lack of response? Is there anything I can do to keep it from happening?

Maybe there's a pattern. Perhaps you can monitor when this happens.

The reason could be low memory (RAM), or the battery that needs charging.

Btw: this is a new device, so a visit to the next Apple Store might be a better solution than just guessing what is happening. You'll probably get a replacement.

That's cool. I never though of using the Maps app to test the touch screen, but it makes perfect sense.
