Shared calendar notifications

I share a calendar between my iPad 2, my iPhone 4, and my wife's Macbook Pro iCal and her iPhone 4. For some reason, I am receiving notifications of her calendar additions/deletions/modifications on my iPad and iPhine, but she is not receiving anything from my own iPad or iPhone calendar event modifications. I've looked at everything, made sure all my notifications are on, Settings->Notification->Calendar->Notification Center->On, and Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Shared Calendar Alerts->On. Have I missed something?

If I'm reading this correctly you checked your notification settings on your iPad. If she's the one not getting notifications you need to check her settings on her devices. You can't control someone else getting notifications. That's their choice of settings.

Or I've misunderstood entirely.
