Shutting off while charging

I remember us having a big discussion on how the iPad won't turn off when it charges. But sometimes it does. I couldn't find that thread.

But, anyway, I have figured it out!
If you plug the iPad in, and leave it for a few minutes, then try to shut it off, it will stay off. But, if you turn it off right after you charge it, it will just reboot.
