Activision’s insanely popular Skylanders franchise will arrive for the first time on iPad on October 5, with Trap Team, writes MacRumors, in a simultaneous release with the console version.
The storyline is set directly after the events of Skylanders: Swap Force, with the player as the Portal Master using Trap Masters and traps to capture all the baddies that escaped in Swap Force.
The iPad game will have exactly the same experience as the console game, and will come complete with a dedicated Bluetooth controller available in a Skylanders Trap Team Starter Pack. The Traptanium Portal controller will have a built-in tablet stand, two Skylanders characters, two Traps, and a display tray so that you can keep track of the Traps you’ve collected and the villains that you’ve trapped.
The game can be played either using the included controller, or via on-screen controls.
As is usual with Skylanders merchandise, the Trap Team Tablet Starter Pack is fairly pricey, with a retail price of $74.99. You can pre-order it from Amazon now ready for release on October 5.
