Slight gap between screen and gasket?

I just got my new iPad and I noticed that there was a small gap between the rubber gasket and the screen. It is a hairline gap that is uniform around the whole iPad. I was wondering if everyone had that to some extent, or if it is supposed to be completely flush with the screen (it is flush between the gasket and the aluminum backing).

Did you find out if this is a problem? I just got a new iPad and have the same issue.
