Small screen when viewing itunes films

Hello! I have downloaded some films from iTunes
When I am watching them they are playing in just a small screen within my iPad screen. Is this normal or is there a way to view them on the full size of my screen?

I have tried double tapping the screen but nothing happens.

Will be so grateful if someone can help

Have you tried putting two fingers on the image and spreading them (a reverse pinch)?
