Sorting in Pages and Numbers?

I bought Pages when I received my iPad on the advice of a friend. I've been playing with it but can't figure out how to sort a table alphabetically. Is it possible to do that? If I can't do it in Pages, is it possible to do it in a Numbers spreadsheet?

Does Numbers support drop down lists, in cells?

I have a report that I do (created in Excel), with one of four choices for "status," in a standard drop down list. Documents to Go doesn't seem to support this in my imported file.
