The sound on my ipad has been working on and off for about 3 days now. The sound is turned on in settings and it is not muted. When it's not working the volume buttons do nothing when pressed (I.e. The usual volume image doesn't show up in the middle of the screen)
However, when I use Siri there is no issue with sound.
