Speaker/Mic Jack ??

How can I use a headphone set with a boom mic on it - which has two separate plugs - on the iPad's single audio jack? I want to use the headset for communications... such as Skype. Perhaps there is a headset with one integrated plug what would work, but the set I have is a really good one.
