Routers can be a can of worms sometimes.
Remember updating my old netgear and it reset the idle timeout to 1. Took me several hours to find what had gone wrong as it wasn't immediately obvious. Would happily surf the net then bang it lost connection. Kept thinking it was engineers fiddling with the line.......
