Synched With Another iTunes Library

After several months of problem free syncing, I have just tried to sync my iPad2, only to get the above message. I most certainly have not synced it with another library - so why the message? The options it gives me sound likely to lose me data and so I am considering reinstalling iTunes and pointing the new install to all my music, books and films or else copying everything across from my iPad. The thoughts of any experienced iPadders would be most welcome. Thanks.

Do you backup to iCloud? If so then don't bother with iTunes.
