Tether internet from a nokia 5230 via bluetooth

I've got a nokia 5230 A have a cheap unlimited internet usage. I'm thinking of buying a new ipad. but I would like to know how i use the internet from the nokia. On the imac itself it is very easy and works quickly too.

I've tried it out on a friends ipad and it simply says device not supported. Are there any work arounds to this?
I'd rather not do a jailbreak on the ipad, but If I did do I still have the same ease of use on the app store or should I be worried about using jailbreak?
