What is the best way to connect iPad 3 (no 3G) with one's mobile phone so as to share the mobile data connection via USB, or as a portable wifi hotspot?

If your mobile phone is providing a mobile hotspot,your Wi-Fi only iPad will connect to the internet via Wi-Fi.IPads of any kind cannot connect to the Internet via a USB connection..

Although sharing a wifi connection using usb is feasible with many devices, it is not possible to do it with the iPad. Maybe with a jailbroken device, but i never check. I use to do it by running a soft on my mobile which setup a wifi hotspot and shre the 3g connection. It works like a sharm'
