I am in Adelaide Australia and we don't put ours up until then1st of December traditionally, but the shops have been at it for the last 2-3 weeks already

Well, my first week went good. I love the teacher and the kids. The problem is she isn't doing any form of instruction from now until their Christmas break. And because I have the flexibility and willingness to go in in January during my 6 week break between semesters, I can go in until January 11th, when I go on a vacation. So I get to teach maybe 6 days in a row then. Until then... it's kind of uneventful. My supervising teacher feels bad... she wishes there was more I could do.

Not the ideal you would have liked, but you're in and that's what matters. Enjoy this time with the kids though, Xmas brings out the best in them.

And . . . you can use the threat of 'No Santa' to exert control and complete domination. Christmas time is the perfect time to get those little chores done. Scrubbing the turlet, cleaning the soap scum from around the bath tub fixtures, make them dance and sing, patching the driveway, raking the leaves after they move the snow, washing the car, replacing the snow they moved earlier, cleaning the freshly killed goose, etc.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Andy said so.

Yay! Leelai, I can start celebrating Xmas officially now the Thanksgiving celebration is over. You can't count the weekend! Avatar will be Xmas from now on! Yippee! 4 Xmas films and 38 to go! I'll have to force myself to watch more than 1 a day! What a core that will be!
