I googled him, after reading your post, and found a few of his cartoons. Some are funny, there are a few I don't understand, because I'm not familiar with Canadian political affairs.
Obviously I was lucky finding a non-political cartoon.

I've done many of that with cassette tapes I used to listen to constantly. There was a band called Fresh Aire in the 80's which was very alternative and I liked having it on in the background while studying. Yup--pens were quite handy!!
