A Commodore 64 a day keeps the Apple II away!

Well done Nathan.

I looked up the 128 and saw mention of the Commodore Amiga, which reminded me of a tale.

In the late 1970s I worked for a local authority. One colleague was into computing. She and her husband were developing software. We didn't have computers at work. I think the nearest we got to micro chips in the office was when the typing pool was upgraded to self-correcting typewriters. The typists wanted a pay rise to work with new technology. They went on strike to get their money. That's another story. :)

Anyway, each year, in the run up to Christmas, our colleague would bring in an Amiga computer complete with joysticks and games, so we could enjoy playing computer games, such as table tennis and space invaders, during our lunch breaks. The Amiga generated lots of interest and a lunch hour stretched into 2 hours as we worked out shifts to try out the new piece of technology.

Certainly our lunchtime bridge sessions were forgotten for a week or two. :)

Heigh ho! :)

My dad said get an Amiga, it has twice the power of the 64/128 combined and has better graphics , also when I get this 128 I'm going to connect it up and start using it :)

Wow this thread hasn't been active for a while so I thought I'd wake it up and let everyone know that it's my 1 year anniversary here at IPF!!!

I drive a truck all over the US and have hundreds of sunrise and sunset photos as well as landscape photos ( mostly from the southwest US ) that I take as I travel.
