What's new

The charging cable is too short.

The stock charging cable of the iPad is too short (less than one meter) which makes it somewhat difficult to use it during charging.

Is there a longer cable available in the market.

May we get a wireless electricity charging in someday?

Other suggestions?

There are longer cables available, just look into the Apple Store. I found these two (depends on your iPad):

Thanks a lot for your reply, do not know why does apple produce short cable, then sells longer one just for gaining more and more money.

I have iPad 3, the cable in the picture at right is compatible same as per the stock one, but the cable at the right side I do not know its use, one side is the normal usb hub and the other one will not be received by the charging socket ( i think they call this one in the market, lightning cable ).

Yes you are right the Lightning cable is for the newer iPad and the iPad mini, also for the newer iPhones.

If you don't want to go to the expense of buying a longer cable (I would only buy an Apple one myself) then you can just use an extension cord, much cheaper and does a great job also.
