So what exactly are those eggs and how did it show in our neighborhood? Do you know?

They are placed by your neighbors. They hatch snakes and may contain donuts.
BTW what's your Origin account? I looked up skimonkey and a bunch came up.

Simpsons Tapped Out is Origin, not GC. There aren't any ski-bunny's in Origin

btw. you guys have no problems with adding friends? I can't find anyone and i've heard it's a common problem.
No...I haven't had problems finding/adding friends. Are you playing on an apple device or an android device. Different platforms may have separate friend lists.
I just added you, BBcakes. You have to go to friend sections and press the Origin settings.
